Our Monthly Socials

LocalShops1’s monthly networking socials always take place 6-8 pm the second Thursday of each month in South Pinellas (St Petersburg/Gulfport) and the last Wednesday in mid-Pinellas (Largo/Seminole/Pinellas Park), except for August and November, and they bring together the area's best businesses and most community-minded shoppers!


Admission is free for LocalShops1 business, artist, shopper and nonprofit members, $10 for non-members.

Interested in hosting or co-sponsoring?

Our events are collaborative in nature and hosts and co-hosts are also responsible for promoting the event and inviting customers, colleagues, family and friends.


Hosting and co-sponsoring opportunities are available only to LocalShops1 Business, Artist and Non-Profit members.


Here’s the scoop!


Hosting Venue
Venue must be able to accommodate 30-40+ guests, plus space for co-hosts to set up a 4-foot table each. You don’t need to close your shop or restaurant during the event, but if you choose to stay open we ask that there is a space dedicated for the LocalShops1 social. The host is also responsible for inviting neighboring businesses and helping to promote the event through email blasts, social media, etc.


Hosting venue provides:
• Appetizers for the guests
• Free drinks (wine, iced tea and sodas).
Restaurants may have a cash bar instead
• Optional: Raffle prize valued at $25 or more
• Space for LocalShops1 table
• Space and small table for registration area
• Space for co-sponsors to set up


Hosting venue receives:
• Inclusion in weekly e-newsletter blasts. (more than 20,000 subscribers)
• Inclusion in event pages on Facebook, Twitter shoutouts and more.
(25,000+ followers through social media.
• New customers: Our events typically draw 30-40 business owners and community-minded shoppers.


Co-Sponsoring Business
Each event features 2-3 member businesses as co-sponsors. Co-sponsors are expected to help promote the event through word-of-mouth, email blasts, social media, etc. It's expected that each co-sponsor bring at least 5 guests. They can be business owners or consumers. Co-sponsors must arrive 4:30-5 pm and be completely set up by 5:30 pm.


Co-Sponsor provides:
• Dessert or appetizers tray for the guests
• Raffle prize valued at $25 or more


Co-Sponsor venue receives:
• Pre-event shoutouts tagging your business
• Space to set up and showcase your business. You must bring card-sized table/chairs
