I come from a family of seamstresses, woodscraftsmen and great cooks who use their hands to create beauty for their loved ones. This artistic passion has also found its way into my life in almost everything I do. The inspiration to make original pieces of jewelry set in when my grandmother died and I was given a hatbox full of her beloved costume jewelry. Most of it was outrageous, as was she, and probably wouldn't find its way into our jewelry boxes. So I set out to redesign those beads and baubles into beautiful (and sometimes playful) trinkets to give back to the family as loving mementos. Having honed my craft, I began designing original pieces for my family and friends, and now you. I hope you enjoy your Blue Room original and should you ever be fortunate enough to inherit a box of "junk jewelry", I hope you remember this story.
