ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — LocalShops1.com and YourMembership.com are excited to announce that they're finalists in Tampa Bay Business Journal's Biz Tech Awards, Best Collaboration category.
The awards, part of the BizTech Innovation Summit, aim
to identify and acknowledge the substantive gains Tampa Bay area
businesses are making in the ways they are developing, employing and using technology for their own companies and clients.
"We are thrilled to be finalists in the BizTech Awards, and especially happy that we're in the Best Collaborations category," said Ester Venouziou, founder of LocalShops1.com. "Collaboration is what it's all about!"
The awards will be presented March 13 at the Tampa Convention Center during the second annual BizTech summit, presented by the Tampa Bay Business Journal and the Tampa Bay Technology Forum.
In 2011 LocalShops1 adopted YourMembership's platform to
better serve its Business Partners. The platform gives LocalShops1 a
dynamic, interactive website that allows small businesses to showcase
their products and services, post their news, and develop relationships
with shoppers and other business owners. In addition to the LocalShops1.com/YourMembership.com collaboration, the other finalists in that category are the following:
National Forensic Science Technology Center/University of Tenn. Law Enforcement Innovation Center
Peak 10 Data Center Solutions/H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center
United Landmark Associates/Community Bank
BizTech awards also will be presented for Innovation of the Year, IT Dream Team, Best Website for Generating Business and Leads, Best Use of Social Media and CEO of a Technology Company.
Last year LocalShops1.com and YourMembership.com each was a finalist in the Best Use of Social Media category.
LocalShops1.com is Tampa Bay’s most active advocate for locally owned,
independent businesses. The grassroots movement was founded in 2008 and
