12 Businesses Take on Leadership Role in Buy Local Movement

ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- LocalShops1 is excited to announce that 12 local businesses have signed up for leadership roles in Neighborhoods!, LocalShops1's new member-to-member initiative to further grow Tampa Bay's Buy Local movement.
Neighborhoods! is designed to help businesses feel better connected to each other, leading to more collaborations and more cross-promotions. LocalShops1 organized members geographically for those with storefronts and by category for those who are web- or on-location based.
Each group has been assigned a Neighborhood Advocate, who will be touching base with the group members monthly to check how things are going and to let them know about upcoming LocalShops1 events. Member news will be featured in social media shout-outs, LocalShops1 enewsletters, BeachLife and Live Local! magazines and in LocalShops1 promotions, reaching tens of thousands of people every week.
As the program grows, there will be new features and promotions tailored for each group.

LocalShops1, founded in 2008 to help put the spotlight on small businesses, has grown into Tampa Bay's most active advocate for local businesses and is recognized for its Why Local Matters campaigns and signature events including Shopapalooza Festival, Top Local Chef, Buy Local Night in the Park and Best in Biz Awards.
