Another study came out last summer, and it put the value of a Facebook fan at $174. We disagree. We think our fans (though we prefer to call them friends) are priceless!
The study, by social marketing company Syncapse and research firm Hotspex analyzed data from more than 2,000 U.S. panelists and compared Facebook fans and non-fans on product spending, brand loyalty, propensity to recommend, media value, cost of acquisition and brand affinity.

Sometimes studies miss the bottom line. With everyone being connected on Facebook - one "friend" can let 150 other friends in on what they are doing, or what events they are attending. This is indeed priceless!
So to me trying to figure out the economic impact of "one" Facebook fan is rather messed up.
