Starting a business? You're in luck if you're in St. Petersburg or Tampa, according to a new report by WalletHub.
The website ranked the best cities nationwide to start a business this year, and Tampa came in at No. 32, St. Pete at No. 61. The cities were ranked based on factors including five-year survival rates, affordability of office space and educational background of the local labor force.
"Driven by a dearth of traditional job opportunities and a re-energized hesitancy to put one’s fate in the hands of others, somewhere between 10 million and 43 million Americans are now working for themselves," the report says. "There is always room in the market for new ideas, products, services and multi-million-dollar success stories …if you know where to look"
