We love seeing local businesses supporting each other! Here are just a few recent highlights of LocalShops1 members choosing fellow members when it's time to eat out, revamp or collaborate!
Scott Roberts, owner of The Peaceful Warrior Massage in St. Pete, took his staff to Three Birds Tavern to help celebrate their business anniversary.
Lucinda Johnston, co-founder of Chart 411 in St. Pete, tells us Grand Kitchen and Bath, also in St. Pete, saved her family thousands on their new countertops and cabinets! She's now working on a blog for us detailing how shopping at independents vs. big box stores, is the way to go!
Terry Foster, founder of Soup2Nuts Marketing in Gulfport, reports a week hopping around fellow member businesses in St. Petersburg and Gulfport, including stops at Mangia's Gourmet, The G Spot Gourmet, Three Birds Tavern and Sea Breeze Manor Bed & Breakfast Inn. She also contracted a fellow member in Manatee County, Backyard Getaway, to make her yard prettier, and ordered business card from LocalShops1's own printing division, I Print Local.
Michele Beckman Tuegel, who's preparing for the 1-year anniversary of her gallery Michele Tuegel Contemporary in downtown St. Pete, reached out to fellow members for cross-promotions.
Kelly Ison, founder of SMARTCOOKEE Co. in St. Petersburg is now doing business with Tammy Sue Vasquez, owner of Bark Life in Seminole.
Karen Brantner Taylor of My Storybook Corner/Barefoot Books in Valrico recently bought a Spin Gym from fellow member Forbes Riley in St. Petersburg. And now that she's helping organize a business lecture, she's going with member Café Kili in Tampa for catering and venue.
Melanie Neumann, owner of Tampabay Massage Therapy and Wellness Center in Seminole, chose Bell Contracting and Design for work at home. She also bought a Forbes Riley Spin Gym, via member Billie Jo Grassinger Bell of Tampa Bay Natural Health and dined at Slyce Pizza Bar in Indian Rocks Beach and Sage's West Bay Bistro in Largo.

There are a ton more examples to share, but we'll leave you with just one more, the case of the Tampa Bay Rays toaster that's staying in the LocalShops1 family!
Billie Jo (see previous listing) is uncluttering her home and came across the toaster, still brand new and in its box. Instead of listing it on ebay or Amazon, she decided to go Local and posted Toaster for Sale on fellow LocalShops1 member's Post Share Sell website.
Member Lori Polichette McDermott of St. Pete Beach Rental saw the posting and snatched it up!
