What's a customer worth?
Don't ignore your existing customers by spending all your energy and marketing dollars on gaining new ones. Use this formula to calculate a customer's worth:
Average Value of a Sale times Number of Repeat Transactions times Average Retention Time in Months or Years for a Typical Customer. One example: A gym member who spends $20/month for three years generates $720/revenue, or $240 year.

5 Speaking Tips: The advice here is geared for people giving speeches to groups, which is one of the best ways to establish yourself as an expert in your field. But even if you're not planning any big speeches, the advice can come in handy for networking events and those 30-second elevator pitches.

Less stress? Organize your desk: Feng Shui principles can go a long way toward a more balanced life, and your desk is no exception. Some suggestions: Keep sticky notes, staplers and other office supplies to your right (the Creative side) and your cell phone to your left (the Knowledge area); keep your chair clean (it represents your career); and form an L-shaped desk for maximum balance.

Logo matters: Apple defines itself with a minimalist, clean look. But its first logo was a
drawing of Isaac Newton sitting under an apple tree (complete with a William Wordsworth quote!)
