LocalShops1 Team Street Patrol is under way, and we have our first assignment: a Tasting Party at Bowled restaurant in St. Pete!
Our job? Try out delicious food at a complimentary Tasting, and then tell the world about it!
We are limited to eight guests and those spots are filled (we announced the Street Patrol in our blog a couple of weeks back) -- but if you're interested in joining us for future assingments, e-mail us at features@localshops1.com ... please include email with "STREET PATROL" on the subject line. Include your name, phone number, city & email address.
If you want to be on waiting list for this event, please write "WAITING LIST" on the subject line. If someone drops out at the last minute, we'll let you know!

Bowled, 3451 Fourth St. in St. Pete.
We're doing this to get people to try cool independent places they might not know about, and to help spread the word about LocalShops1 and LocalShops1 businesses through word-of-mouth and social media. There is no cost for you to attend. We are limited to 8 guests, so if you can't make it, please let us know as soon as possible. There's a waiting list to get in ...
Here is what we hope you can do for us:
- A few days before the Tasting, we hope you help us create buzz by telling your friends you're going to the exclusive LocalShops1.com Tasting Party at Bowled. You're welcome to bring guests, but they would just have to pay for their own meal, not participate in the Tasting. (But of course they can sit with us!)
- During the Tasting, we'll have access to a laptop. You're welcome to log in to your Twitter and Facebook account and brag about what a great time you're having. (if, indeed, you're having fun. We don't want anyone to lie) ... if you have iphone/blackberry/etc, you're welcome to take photos of the food and post them for the world to see.
- A few days after the Tasting, if you had a good time, we hope you blog about it (or otherwise spread the word), linking to both LocalShops1.com and Bowled.
