Cerulean Blu is calling all artists in the St. Petersburg area to submit entries for its new project, which will feature local artwork on mugs. The mugs will be made, marketed and sold at the shop's St. Pete location.
"Our goal with this project is to create an economically viable platform for our St. Pete artists to share their flavor with the world, all while keeping the moving parts of manufacturing, marketing and sales right here in St. Pete," Desiree Noisette, owner of Cerulean Blu, writes on their website. "Yes, this is a PAYING gig! Selected submissions will be paid a licensing fee upfront AND a royalty based on per unit sales."
Cerulean Blu is looking for designs that fall into three categories: local themes (Sunshine City, St. Pete, The Burg, etc); your artistic aesthetic, taking into account current trends in home furnishings, colors, etc; and resort/ocean themes.
This is an ongoing project, and submissions will be evaluated as they come in. For more information and for a copy of the licensing and royalty admission, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
