Call for Artists: Historic Rialto Gallery in downtown Tampa
The beautiful restored Rialto Theatre on N. Franklin Street in Tampa invites artists to apply for solo exhibitions. Exhibitions rotate monthly and should appeal to a wide variety of audiences. Protect your image. What rights do you have with murals and other works?
The St. Petersburg Arts Alliance presents a free arts Business Continuing Education session at The Greenhouse, Thursday, April 21, 2016. Coffee and networking at 8:30 a.m. followed by presentation from 9-10 a.m. Whether you’re a painter, mural artist, crafter or other public artisan, your works can be protected from theft, copying. They can be sold, shared and licensed, but you need to learn more about your rights. This session will be particularly helpful for the mural artists, especially those interested in working with SHINE or other public art projects Zachary Messa, attorney at Johnson, Pope, Bokor, Ruppel & Burns, spoke at the first session and again during the Arts Business Collaborative. The St. Petersburg Arts Alliance’s free arts & cultural education seminars are presented in partnership with The Greenhouse on the third Thursday of each month. Call to Artists: Public Art in Orange County
Deadline for submission of images and prices: April 20. The Orange County Convention Center in Orlando has issued a call for 2-D, wall-hung art. Artwork purchased must be ready to hang. Music Therapy Professional Scholarships
Deadline: June 24, 6 pm. The American Music Therapy Association is accepting applications for the 2015 Anne Emery Kyllo Professional Scholarship, an annual program designed to support professional music therapists in their efforts to expand their training and professional interactions through continuing education. Three cash scholarships of $500 each are awarded annually for use toward continuing music therapy education credits.
