Local Businessman Selected for Emerging Leaders Initiative

Barry Rubin, owner of Time Systems in St. Petersburg and president of the Gulfport Area Chamber of Commerce, was selected to participate in the 2015 Emerging Leaders Initiative, sponsored by the Small Business Administration.

The SBA Emerging Leaders Initiative is a seven-month training program that focuses on executives of businesses poised for growth. During the program, participants are given the opportunity to work with experienced mentors, attend  workshops and develop connections with peers, city leaders and the financial community. Program highlights include a three-year strategic growth action plan with benchmarks and performance targets to help the participant emerge as self-sustaining businesses that creates jobs and build communities; and more than 100 hours of professional specialized training and peer-to-peer counseling.

Time Systems, at 541 49th St S., offers technology, timeclock and HR solutions for companies of all sizes throughout the Tampa Bay region.
