Critically acclaimed comedy improv duo, Gavin Hawk and Ricky Wayne weave together a hilarious, totally improvised one act play based on audience suggestions. Back for their 6th straight year in residence at American Stage, they have been well received nationally this past year touring comedy festivals like Philadelphia’s DuoFest, Sarasota Improv Festival, Hartford Improv Festival, Detroit Improv Festival and Out of Bounds Comedy Festival in Austin, Texas.
PLUS: Opening for Hawk & Wayne this season, you can enjoy improv teams from students in American Stage Education’s Improvisation Training Program as they showcase their fresh, new acts!
Tickets: $10 ticket purchase. Performed in our lobby cabaret, where of course, there will be full cash bar service for all our patrons.

Take a fresh look at new works and play a part in the playwriting process
Join American Stage for the Emerging Playwrights Festival, a weekend filled with exciting new works by emerging playwright, Bob Clyman; St. Petersburg native, Gabe Neustadt; and short plays by some of the Tampa Bay area’s most talented, young playwrights. Each public reading will be followed by a talk-back between the audience and playwright. In addition, the weekend will feature a Playwright Panel Discussion and The Art and Craft of Playwriting Workshop led by Bob Clyman and Festival Co-Director, Bill Leavengood.

six-year-old girl, a septuagenarian New Yorker, a vagina workshop participant, a woman who witnesses the birth of her granddaughter, and a feminist happy to have found a man who "liked to look at it."

Celebrate your Thanksgiving holiday with Tampa Bay's "Best Cabaret Act" (Creative Loafing's Best Of The Bay) and get a first look at all of the new additions to The Scott and Patti Show after their super successful Kickstarter campaign. Thanks for the Mammaries is classic Vegas floor show with glittering costumes, dazzling production numbers and hilarious special guests. Join Tampa Bay favorites Scott Daniel (TTB nominee for American Stage In The Park's The Wiz) and Matthew McGee (Reader's Pick for Best Drag Performer - Creative Loafing's Best of The Bay) as they roll out the red carpet for their biggest and most devoted fans for ONE NIGHT ONLY.
