C1 Bank Sets Living Wage Standards

Posted By LocalShops1, Wednesday, April 2, 2014

Huge kudos to C1 Bank, which has set a minimum "living wage rate" of $14 an hour for all full-time employees at its 27 branches and downtown St. Petersburg headquarters.

"We thought it was the ethical thing to do," CEO Trevor Burgess tells the Tampa Bay Times. "We wanted to make sure the people who work for us are benefiting from our success and can earn a living wage."

C1's new minimum is almost double Florida's minimum wage of $7.93 an hour.
