Congratulations to LocalShops1 member Dave Hollowell on his recent appointment to Grand Central District's executive committee! Dave will serve as secretary for the 2014 term!
Nov. 14, 2013 -- The Grand Central District Association (GCDA) recently elected its new Board of Directors for 2013-2014.
Jeff Danner, serving on St. Petersburg’s City Council, was elected president. After his final term representing District 8 ends, Jeff will start a new business, Danner Consulting. Jeff has extensive experience in planning and economic development and has been involved with the Grand Central District since the very beginning.
The rest of the Executive Committee includes:
Vice President: Brian Longstreth, Your Neighborhood Realty, Gaystpete.com and Gay St. Pete House. Brian has been active in GCDA since it began, including serving as president in 2005 and 2006, and secretary in 2012-2013
Secretary: Dave Hollowell, Insurance Underwriters & Associates. Dave joined the Board in 2011-2012 and served as treasurer in 2012-2013.
Treasurer: Mitch Hernandez, Mitch Hernandez Accounting & Tax Services. Mitch has served as GCDA’s CPA since 2011, and returns to the Board after serving as Treasurer in 2011-2012.
In addition, four new directors were appointed to the board:
- Jason McNeil, Beak’s St. Pete
- Suzanne Golden, Nuance Galleries
- Bill Hillman, property owner
- Andrew Lee, Roundhouse Creative
The board also includes three returning directors:
- Andrew Hayes, Hayes|Cumming Architects (Immediate Past President)
- Bob Jeffrey, Grand Central Lofts
- Howard Dodge, The White Elephant Antiques & Collectables
