Stu Robinson former radio personality for Clear Channel’s 95.7 FM the Beat will be hosting his 7th Annual Father Daughter Dance on Sunday, June 16, 2013, from 5 pm to 8 pm at the T. Pepin’s Hospitality Center, 4121 N. 50th St, Tampa, 33610. This year’s theme is "A Lifetime of Love”.
Stu’s Father Daughter Dance was established in 2005 to create a lasting memory that would strengthen the bond between fathers and their daughters. In 2011, the dance was honored with a Mayor Proclamation for 5 years of service to the community. With the mission of helping young ladies understand the importance of their fathers as well as how a man should treat them, the dance has seen over 1,000 people positively affected across the Central Florida area. Themes change yearly, but the message of ‘it’s time for girls to lower their skirts and raise their standards’ remains constant.
This event will consist of dads and daughters from around the Tampa Bay area and others from out of state with various socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds. Attendees receive a full 3 course dinner, listen to invited guests and of course an evening full of dancing until the last song is played.
Although the event is used as a tool to help spotlight dads who care about their little princesses, it is also a way to donate money to the entire community. Proceeds from ticket sales and sponsorships go towards ConnXions’ I Care About Me Program.
"The past 6 years that Above Promotions Company has been involved as a sponsor and we couldn't think of a better way to empower self-respect within today's youth" says Ebony Grimsley, founder and creative director. "We are definitely looking forward to seeing each of the father daughter couples enjoy another dance full of fun, laughter and maybe even a few tears."
