Get saucy this spring, at LocalShops1 and Intensity Academy Gourmet Sauces' fifth annual Top Local Chef competition Sunday, April 26, at the Gulfport Casino Ballroom. The battle features chefs from all across Tampa Bay and is produced in support of our nonprofit partner, the Gulfport Historical Society.

This year's Top Local Chef features our first-ever Local Marketplace. Here's what you'll find:

Pinellas Chocolate Company: The local chocolate maker launched December 2014 and specializes in chocolate bars made from various origins of fine flavor cacao. They can be found online and at various local markets throughout Pinellas and Hillsborough counties.

Gigi's Gourmet Caramel Sauce: Locally handcrafted in small batches, inspiring flavors include Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel, Bacon Caramel, Vanilla Bean Bourbon Caramel and more. All taste great straight from the jar; as dips for pretzels or apples; and as toppings for ice cream.

Brooklyn South: The specialty shop at 1437 Central Ave. in St. Petersburg serves breakfast and lunch and features imported and domestic cheeses, charcuterie and a fine selection of other food products.

Vicki's Vittles: The family-owned and operated company specializes in farm-fresh, locally sourced pickles and jams. Products include Hoppin' Jalapeno Jelly, Pineapple Lime Cilantro Jam and Spicy Bread & Butter Pickles.

Big Momma Donna's BBQ Sauce: Simply put, the "best barbecue sauce on the planet!" The line features the signature blueberry barbecue sauce and the Boss Seasoning, made with sriracha, garlic, sea salt and other herbs.

The Pampered Chef: Local consultant Kim Reed has been using Pampered Chef products since 2004. The line offers more than 450 items, including serving and entertaining pieces, stoneware, cookware, cutlery, kitchen tools, pantry products and cookbooks.

Green Living Mama: Ericka Joy Thompson is a local consultant for DoTerra Essential Oils, which not only are perfect for cooking but also work to help bring the body into balance,  thus helping the body's natural defenses to restore homeostasis.

Citrus Blossom Scented Candles: The handcrafted soy candles come in decadent scents, including Bahamian Coconut, Chocolate Roses, Cucumber Mint, Da Lime in Da Coconut, Honeybell Tangelo, Honey Blossom, Key Lime Pie, Pink Grapefruit and Valencia Vanilla.

Intensity Academy Gourmet Sauces: The Top Local Chef event partner features the evening's not-so-secret ingredient, Must Thai Spicy Mustard, in addition to its signature award-winning sauces Chai Thai Teriyaki, Garlic Goodness, Carrot Karma and Chai Chipotle Chup.
