Tiffany Anderson-Taylor, Live Curly Live Free

Meet Tiffany Anderson Taylor, owner of Live Curly Live Free and a  LocalShops1 advisory board member since 2012. Tiffany followed her dream and opened her own hair salon in April 2011, after getting laid off from her corporate job in the tech world.

Tiffany decided to specialize in curly hair because that's what she struggled with as a child.

"I cried. I cursed. I spent a fortune on products that promised me sleek, straight hair, but only delivered more of the same frizzy mess," she writes in her book, Live Curly Live Free: Unlocking the Secrets Behind the World of Beautiful Curly Hair. "I'm lucky I didn't need an extra room in my beach house to hold all of the products that had been used once and discarded as yet another failure. It was a veritable graveyard."

These days, Tiffany is considered one of the leading experts in the world of curly hair. Clients travel across the country to come to see Tiffany, aka The Curl Whisperer, and her hair salon in the Art Village Courtyard in Gulfport.
