Rethinking Black Friday

When people hear Black Friday, the thought that comes to mind is usually Big Box. Images of people lined up, sometimes days in advance, waiting for a store to open so they can rush in and try to snag some sort of gadget. At best, it's a jumbled mess of stressed-out shoppers; at worst, someone gets trampled to death: remember the woman who died at Walmart a few years back??

But luckily, there's a better way. At locally owned, independent businesses, you'll still find incredible deals on Black Friday (as well as Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday and every other day of the year).

This weekend, have FUN while shopping. Many local shops are even offering free wine and treats while you browse around.

And yes, there are SALES. Please check out our Sales, Events & Promotions blog for the amazing deals Local Businesses are offering. We're talking freebies, BOGO offers, half-off sales and so much more!

For even more deals, available every day, check out the list of our member businesses and the latest 1Card offers.

If you have a business that is locally owned and operated and want your Black Friday/Small Business Saturday/Cyber Monday deal listed on our Sales, Events & Promotions blog, please fill out this form. There is no cost to be listed.

For a list of offers, go to the Sales, Events & Promotions blog!
