American Stage is Tampa Bay's best professional regional equity theater. Founded in 1977, its mission is to create the most satisfying live theater in the region, accessible to all members of the community. The vision is to preserve the greatest human stories from our past, while creating the most defining stories and storytelling of our time.
American Stage presents its Mainstage Series in the 182-seat Raymond James Theatre year round and the annual American Stage in the Park each spring. The theater's other programming includes “After Hours” Series, School Tour, Youth/Adult Classes, Summer Camp, and Teen Summer Institute. American Stage has partnered with LocalShops1 since 2012 for the annual Buy Local Night in the Park and as the hosting venue for the Shopapalooza VIP Party & Pep Rally.

Shopapalooza Festival 2014
The biggest shopping event is back for a fifth year, with 100+ locally owned businesses and 5,000+ shoppers!! The 2014 festival also features a beer garden, an artists village, a ton of entertainment and lots more! Admission is free and open to the public!
