St. Petersburg, FL (Sept, 19, 2011) -- LocalShops1.com and MADHouse Advertising are happy to announce that they are offering free vendor spots to Tampa Bay-based non-profits at Shopapalooza, the local alternative to Black Friday.
"Charities are having a rough time in this economy," said Ester Venouziou, founder of LocalShops1.com. "It's important to us to do what we can to help them, particularly with the holidays coming up. And since we're expecting such a large crowd at Shopapalooza, we have the perfect opportunity to help charities pitch their causes."
Shopapalooza, is a one-day shopping event that provides shoppers the local alternative to Black Friday: great deals from independent businesses. It takes place 10-4 Nov, 19 at the St. Pete Pier, with cooperation from the USF-St. Pete's Center for Entrepreneurship and the City of St. Petersburg. Admission to the event is free. Shopapalooza is sponsored by BrightHouse Networks and Telemundo.
Charities interested in a free spot should email LocalShops1.com at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The spaces will be given to registered 5013C organizations on a first-come, first-serve basis. Charities must be based in the Tampa Bay area. Political charities will not be accepted.
